Paloceras unveils Spider Pebble™, a rare creation shaped from steel and acetate, made entirely by hand in the brand’s London atelier. It is a frame that seems to observe as much as it is seen. Silent. Tense. Almost animate.
Like a fragment of brutalist sculpture or a prop from an unfinished film, Spider Pebble™ resists full explanation. It speaks in materials. It leaves space for interpretation. Every curve and junction feels deliberate, yet elusive. The kind of object that might appear in a dream before being recognised in real life.
Each piece is crafted by hand by Pauline Pierre, whose background in eyewear design and craftsmanship gives the frame its tactile, almost unsettling precision. The steel is forged. The pebbles are cut and set. The shape begins to take hold.
Spider Pebble is not in circulation™. Fewer than a handful are created each year. They appear selectively at one or two locations worldwide and may be requested directly through paloceras.com.
Speaking about the piece, Alexis Perron Corriveau, Design Director of Paloceras, notes: “We never intended to produce this at scale. It exists because we could not ignore it. The shape stayed with us. The tension felt necessary. Some pieces are not designed to follow. They are meant to disturb.”
