Paris, 26 September 2026 – Paloceras has received the Prix Spécial du Jury at the 33rd SILMO d'Or for Pebble RX. The award was presented tonight at SILMO Paris where the optical industry gathers each autumn and where the SILMO d'Or remains its most closely watched design prize.
Pebble is the collection on which Paloceras was founded in 2022 and RX is its round shape released in September 2024 as the first physical piece for the company. The frame is cut from DualLayer Mazzucchelli acetate, a gold-plated wire core runs through temples, and the five-barrel hinges has gold-tone engravings. Every frame is then polished by hand which gives the acetate its depth and the edges their softness.
The prize caps a year that has already brought the Best Sun Style Independent title at the NOW Awards in the United States, a place on the Paris Haute Couture runway with Robert Wun and a feature in Monocle's Style top 25.
