Paloceras and Bo Quinn weave drag artistry and eyewear craft into silk

A limited release of silk squares that blur the line between accessory and artefact

Paloceras, the eyewear house known for sculptural forms and fearless aesthetics, steps further into the world of high fashion accessories with a one-time collaboration that merges vision and fabric.

Launching exclusively on paloceras.com on 29 July, the collection introduces two silk scarves created with Bo Quinn, the London-based makeup artist and drag icon whose work pulses with unapologetic colour and theatrical flair.

“I was drawn to softer yet impactful circular shapes that create an interesting contrast with the stark white makeup base,” Bo explains. “This went hand in hand with the iconic Pebble sunglasses from Paloceras and made sense for this collaboration.”

One scarf, Cabaret, is bold and vibrant: a riot of primary reds, blues, and yellows inspired by the childlike energy of 90s colour palettes. The other, Whisper, is a more pared-back composition: a muted blue with soft pink accents. “With Cabaret, I wanted boldness and chaos while Whisper feels refined and sophisticated,” says Bo.

The looks were painted on skin and then pressed onto makeup wipes to capture their imprints. The makeup wipes were reimagined in silk, preserving the intimacy of the makeup ritual in a permanent, wearable form.

Each scarf is crafted from 100% silk with hand-rolled edges near Lake Como, Italy, and presented in custom boxes with a collector’s card. Available in a strictly limited edition of fifty pieces per style, they are wearable artworks exploring transformation and the space between art, fashion, and drag.

“We believe in embracing the unexpected,” says Mika Matikainen, Creative Director at Paloceras. “When this idea emerged within our team, it felt like a spark from somewhere unseen, an immediate yes from everyone. We are not simply building an eyewear brand. This is about imagination, transformation and the creation of objects that carry a sense of mystery and make people feel something beyond words.”

This collaboration marks the first chapter in a wider series of unexpected partnerships that will carry Paloceras into new dimensions of design.
